The 2026 homecoming parade was one to be remembered. People of all ages were participating in the parade in one way or another. Whether throwing candy out a car window, sitting on a float with friends, or lining up the streets in anticipation that homecoming week is a county-wide event for BC and one that is usually not missed. The marching band, with the most people they have had in many years, is lighting up the streets with the sound of all different kinds. Before the parade, time is spent preparing the floats and gathering people together. The school marching band always throws in a quick practice before they go out and march to their latest songs. This year had a surfer feel, still holding on to the last few moments of summer and warm weather. People had been looking forward to the parade all week, and it delivered.
